Budynek dawnej portierni znajdujący się na terenie Huty Pokój, przedsiębiorstwa założonego w 1840 roku pod nazwą „Friedenshűtte”. Od chwili powstania Huta Pokój rozwijała się niezwykle dynamicznie, a wraz z nią zmieniał się krajobraz Nowego Bytomia.W początkach XX wieku najbardziej charakterystyczną zabudowa zakładu były budynki zlokalizowane od strony ul. Piotra Niedurnego. Znajduje się wśród nich budynek portierni, byłej bramy II Huty Pokój, który łączył się w narożniku ze znacznie większym budynkiem dawnego wydziału laboratorium. Obiekt powstał w 1908 roku. Szczególną uwagę zwraca jego dekoracja w postaci dwóch ceramicznych płaskorzeźb, przedstawiających grupy hutników i górników przy pracy oraz wieńcząca środkową część dachu czworoboczna wieżyczka zegarowa z okrągłymi otworami po tarczach zegarów.

Pforte II der Hütte „Pokój"

The former porter’s lodge situated in the area of Huta Pokój, the plant established in 1840 under the name of Friedenshűtte. Since the beginnings of Huta Pokój, its development was exceptionally dynamic, and the landscape of Nowy Bytom was changing with it. In the beginning of the 20th century the most characteristic buildings of the plant were those located on the side of ul. Piotra Niedurnego. Among them there is the porter’s lodge, the former gate II of Huta Pokój, which was connected in the corner with a much larger building of the former laboratory section. The building was constructed in 1908. Of particular interest are its two decorative ceramic reliefs, representing groups of steelworkers and miners at work, and the four-sided clock tower which crowns the middle part of the roof, with round openings where the clocks used to be.

Gebäude des ehemaligen Pförtnerhauses auf dem Gelände des Unternehmens Huta Pokój, das im Jahre 1840 unter dem Namen „Friedenshütte“ gegründet wurde. Seit ihrer Gründung entwickelte sich die Huta Pokój außergewöhnlich schnell. Mit ihr veränderte sich die Landschaft von Nowy Bytom. Zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts waren die charakteristischsten Fabrikgebäude des Betriebs die Gebäude auf der Seite der Piotr Niedurny-Straße. Darunter ist das Gebäude des Pförtnerhauses der ehemaligen Pforte II der Friedenshütte, das sich an der Ecke mit einem viel größeren Gebäude der ehemaligen Laborabteilung zusammenschloss. Der Bau wurde 1908 errichtet. Besonderes aufmerksam machen die Dekoration in Form zweier keramischer Flachreliefs, die eine Gruppe von Hütten- und Bergarbeitern bei der Arbeit zeigt und das Dach des vierseitigen Turmes mit seinem krönen
