Większość zabudowań wchodzących w skład kompleksu szybu „Mikołaj” powstało ok. 1912 roku na terenie należącej do rodziny Ballestremów kopalni „Wolfgang” w Rudzie. Dzisiejszy zespół tworzą: budynek nadszybia, budynek maszyny z halą przetwornic i warsztatem oraz stalowa wieża wyciągowa. Obok znajduje się hala maszyn elektrociepłowni „Mikołaj”. Oprócz obiektów budowlanych zachowały się także urządzenia górnicze: maszyna wyciągowa z kołem Koeppe, szybowskaz, tachograf oraz zestaw przetwornic systemu Leonarda wraz z kołem zamachowym Ilgnera. |

Most buildings that were part of the complex of the “Mikołaj” shaft were built around 1912 on the premises of the “Wolfgang” mine in Ruda that were owned by the Ballestrem family. Nowadays, the complex consists of the shaft top, the machines and the converter blower house, the workshop and the steel hoist tower. Next to them, there is the machine blower house of the “Mikołaj” heat and power generating plant. Besides the buildings, the following mining equipment has been preserved: the hoisting machine with a Koeppe wheel, the tachograph system and a set of converters in the Leonard system with an Ilgner flywheel. |

Die meisten Gebäude, aus denen sich der Komplex des Schachtes „Mikołaj” zusammensetzt, wurden ca. 1912 auf dem Gelände des Bergwerks „Wolfgang” in Ruda gebaut, das das Eigentum der FamilieBallestrem war. Der heutige Komplex besteht aus:den Gebäuden der Hängebank, Maschinen mit der Umformerhalle und mit der Werkstatt sowie aus dem Förderturm aus Stahl. Daneben befindet sich die Maschinenhalle des Heizkraftwerks „Mikołaj”. Neben den Bauwerken blieben auch bergbauliche Anlagen erhalten: die Fördermaschine mit dem Rad von Koeppe, die Schachtanzeige, der Tachograf sowie ein Satz der Leonard-Umformer samt dem Schwungradvon Ilgner. |
